He is self-determined and confident and is most often found within a community of like-minded friends with whom he can share experiences.

History

Beck’s® is brewed in Bremen since 1873. It takes its name after Heinrich Beck, a master brewer who developed this most famous German beer, which is now sold in 125 countries.

Beck’s® received its first gold prize in 1874 in Germany and its first international prize at the World Fair in Philadelphia, USA in 1876 where it took away the best continental beer award. These medals, together with the «key» symbol of Bremen, appear on the Beck’s® label still today.

Beck’s® has been exported to other countries of the world since 1875. It was only in 1949 that the internationally famous Beck’s® beer was first launched in Germany. In the last five decades, sales have continued to grow steadily on both the brewery?s domestic and international markets. At present, its sales volume exceeds 5 million hectolitres, it is sold on 5 continents, in 125 countries. Every minute, some 3,000 bottles of Beck’s® are consumed.

Until 2001, the famous German corporation owned the Beck’s® trademark. Since then it belongs to InBev and has been one of its leading international brands.

Since October 2003, Beck’s® is also produced by the Desna Brewery in Chernigov, Ukraine, which is a member of SUN InBev Ukraine.
