Sibirskaya Korona

 Sibirskaya Korona is one of the leading SUN InBev brands. It was launched as a local beer at Omsk Brewery Rosar in August of 1996 and turned into a strong national brand. Sibirskaya Korona competes successfully with other leaders in the Russian market and is sold all across the country.

Sibirskaya Korona is an excellent premium beer, made for people who choose the best of the best. Unfaltering reputation of the brand is ensured with the combination of classic Russian brewing recipes, modern SUN InBev technologies and invariably high quality of ingredients.

Currently the brand has several basic and two seasonal varieties.

Sibirskaya Korona Klassicheskoye (gravity - 12%, alc. -5%) is brewed from barley malt of high quality with addition of rice and with a special yeast strain. It has a distinctive refreshing taste and quenches thirst perfectly.

Sibirskaya Korona Originalnoye (gravity - 11%, alc. - 4.4%) is the most popular variety with malt taste and flavour and delicate hop bitterness.

Sibirskaya Korona Prazdnichnoye (gravity - 14%, alc. - 5.5%) is a hoppier variety with more body and mild balanced taste.

Sibirskaya Korona Svetloye (gravity - 11%, alc. - 4.7%) is a pale beer with mild hop bitterness. Distributed in the Eastern part of Russia only

Sibirskaya Korona Rubinovoye (gravity - 14%, alc. - 5.8%) is a semi-dark lager coloured amber-red with a slightly sweet flavour and rich foam.

Sibirskaya Korona Yantarnoye (gravity - 15%, alc. - 6%) is a pale beer produced with top fermentation yeast which explains its mild taste and unique amber colour.

Sibirskaya Korona Zolotistoye (gravity - 11%, alc. - 4.3%) is a light beer that has a sunny tint and refreshing taste.

Sibirskaya Korona Beloye (White) (gravity - 12%, alc. - 5%) is a light lager wheat beer with opaque amber coloring.

Sibirskaya Korona is bottled in 0.5l glass bottles, 0.5l cans, 1l and 1.5l PIVOPACK bottles and 30l and 50l kegs.

Sibirskaya Korona is produced at the breweries in Omsk, Klin, Saransk, Volzhsky, Ivanovo and Perm.

History

The brand was launched in August 1996. A new beer of Rosar Brewery was a gift to Omsk citizens who celebrated 280 years of their hometown. In 1997, Sibirskaya Korona collected its first awards: Osoboye and Prazdnichnoye received grand and minor gold medals respectively at the International Siberian Fair. Sochi-97 International Beer Festival marked three varieties of Sibirskaya Korona with gold medals: Prazdnichnoye Temnoye, Prazdnichnoye Svetloye and Osoboye.

In 1999, Sibirskaya Korona triumphed at the Sochi exhibition and fair again: it received three gold medals, the Grand Prix of the contest and title "The Very Perfection". The latter one was awarded to the Russian beer for the first time in the history of the Sochi prestigious international contest.

In 2001, Sibirskaya Korona became one of SUN InBev's national brands.
