Staropramen®

Staropramen® is a Czech pale beer of highest quality brewed in Russia at SUN InBev's Klin brewery since March 2003, and in Novocheboksarsk.

For centuries skilful Czech brewers developed beers with distinguishing clear and mild taste. Their meticulous work resulted in the appearance of original brands that brought to Prague the reputation of Europe’s beer capital.

Czech beer has been well-known and popular in Russia for a long time. To make it available for Russian connoisseurs, SUN InBev decided to launch production of the most popular Prague brand – Staropramen® – at Klin, one of the largest breweries in this country.

Staropramen®, which means «an old well», is brewed since March 2003 under a license and control of «Prazske pivovary a.s.». This beer is made with deep respect to rich traditions and experience of Prague brewers. The traditional characteristics of the famous brand are preserved: the gravity is 10%, and alcohol content – 4%.

Staropramen® is positioned in the premium segment. It is sold in exclusive green glass 0.5l and 0.33l bottles, 0.5l cans and 30l kegs.

Past and Present

Staropramen® has been brewed according to traditional recipes since 1869 at «Smichov» brewery. The trademark was registered in 1911.

Today Staropramen® is the key brand of «Prazske pivovary a.s.», a member of Interbrew international company. The brand is the third most popular beer in the Czech Republic and received many prestigious awards at brewing contests within and outside of the country.
