General Information

In 2003 the Tinkoff company put into operation a brewery, the first in Russia, to produce ultrapremium beer. The brewery had been built in 10 months, and its capacity at the moment is 250,000 hectolitres of beer annually. The construction of the second brewhouse was completed in 2005.

In July 2005 InBev announced the acquisition of 100% of Oleg Tinkov’s beer business, OOO Interbir (otherwise called “the Tinkoff Brewery”). After closing of the deal in August 2005 the brewery became part of InBev’s Russian operations managed by SUN InBev.

In December 2008 facing unexpected slowing down growth in the brewery industry to optimize the production activities and cost effectiveness the production at St-Petersburg Branch was temporary suspended.
