Moscow, 23 April 2009 – SUN InBev starts social program “We’ll Live Here!” in 2009 with spring subbotniks in several Russian cities.
Employees of SUN InBev, their families, townspeople and representatives of local authorities will spend forthcoming week-end together cleaning up the streets of Klin, Ivanovo, Kursk, Volzhskiy, Saransk, Novocheboksarsk, Perm, Omsk and Angarsk after long winter. Everyone wishing to participate in the cleaning of the cities would be welcomed by the atmosphere of festive spring day and real field cousine. And what can better to have a lunch at the open air after hard working day.
Spring subbotniks has become an important part of annual corporate events of SUN InBev. Employees are proud of their participation in refurbishment of the cities where the enterprises of the company are located.
SUN InBev arranged its first spring subbotnik in 2002. Since then the project has become the part of long-term national program for cities renovation “We’ll Live Here!” Subbotniks will be followed by summer stages of the program realized in the cleaned cities – the company will lay out flower gardens, restore parks and squares. Autumn is the time to redevelop city yards and create new sport stadiums and in winter there will appear New Year trees and Christmas skating rings.
Commenting the start of subbotniks the Director for Corporate Affairs and Communications of SUN InBev Irina Arkhipova noted: “Subbotniks which combine labour and active rest can be truly regarded today as part of Russian culture. We are pleased to be able to offer everyone and their families festive mood and the charge of spring energy so needed to all of us after long and difficult winter”
