“SUN InBev” launched export to Uzbekistan, Lithuania and Armenia

Moscow, February, 1st, 2010 – OJSC “SUN InBev”, the Russian branch of the world's largest brewing concern Anheuser-Busch InBev, declares an expansion into new markets. Now company production is exported to Uzbekistan, Lithuania and Armenia. The company is assured that will take in the lead positions on the rapid growth markets of these countries.

OJSC “SUN InBev”, the second brewing company for sales volumes in Russia, has launched export to Uzbekistan, Lithuania and Armenia. The beginning of regular deliveries in these countries is logic continuation of company strategy on production expansion to the CIS countries. Belorussia, Moldova, Estonia, Latvia, Abkhazia, Georgia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Kirghizia are an incomplete list of the countries where beer of company OJSC “SUN InBev” is successfully on sale.

The brands delivered to Uzbekistan became Klinskoe, Sibirskaya Korona, Tolstyak, Brahma, Stella Artois and Lowenbrau. The main brand exported to Lithuania became Klinskoe. Export assortment OJSC “SUN InBev” is delivered to Armenia - Klinskoe, Tolstyak and Sibirskaya Korona.

Uzbekistan is the third country on a population in the CIS after Russia and Ukraine and the beer market of Uzbekistan reaches 2.7 million hectoliters where basically local players are presented. The volume of the market of Lithuania makes about 2 million hectoliters, Armenia - about 1 million hectoliters. Local manufacturers also dominate in these countries. For the Lithuania market is the great demand of the Russian beer brands and a high consumption level of a foamy drink (over 60 l on 1 person in a year) is characteristic that gives to the company excellent prospects for development.
